Allied Telesyn Expands Gigabit Offering with Launch of Multilayer Switch
AT-9900 Reaches New and Unmatched Heights in Performance, Flexibility and Reliability
Allied Telesyn, a global provider of end-to-end Ethernet/IP solutions, has announced the availability of its new AT-9900 multi-layer IPv4 and IPv6 Gigabit switches designed to meet the needs of high performance network services. The launch follows that of the AT-9400 series Layer 2+ managed gigabit Ethernet switches and AT-9700 series layer 3 stackable gigabit Ethernet switches last month.
The AT-9900 is designed to meet the advanced multimedia requirements of modern switches and bring traffic control and high performance to the edge of the network. All AT-9900 switches incorporate a switching core that yields wirespeed Layer 3 IPv4 routing, exceptional quality of service (QOS) features, and a robust hardware design with hot-swappable dual power supplies. The AT-9924T/4SP is one of the few switches on the market today that can provide high performance IPv6 multicast routing.
QoS features on the switches include flow-based traffic management with full classification, prioritisation, traffic shaping and min/max bandwidth profiles. "Our QoS features are ideal for service providers wanting to ensure maximum availability of premium voice, video and data services, and at the same time manage customer service level agreements," explains Allied Telesyn´s International VP Global Marketing and Product Development Philip Yim. "For enterprise customers they protect productivity by guaranteeing performance and maintain responsiveness of business-critical applications."
