BakBone announces Netvault 7 and increased operations in Scandinavia

MARIEHAMN, Finland — BakBone Software, a global provider of open systems data backup and recovery software, has recently increased the level of their operations in the Scandinavian market.

BakBone Software, which manufactures NetVault backup and recovery software for open systems and networked storage environments, launched their Scandinavian operations back in March 2001. Since then, they have continued to increase their presence in the market by entering into agreements with various channel partners across the region. BakBone is committed 100% to selling NetVault through the channel.

BakBone is currently looking to engage other storage-specific resellers and distributors in the region. With a solid channel partner program, BakBone can offer attractive margins as well as good technical and marketing support.

Since 2000, BakBone has also entered into business relationships with numerous key alliance partners including Network Appliance, SONY, ADIC and StorageTek. Given that NetVault offers extensive support for Linux and NDMP configurations as well as for more platforms, operation systems and applications than any of its competitors, NetVault has become one of the most powerful and modular backup software products on the market today. By working with such key alliance partners, BakBone can provide their channel partners with complete solutions centered around data protection and data recovery strategies.

BakBone also recently announced the release of NetVault 7, the latest generation in their backup and recovery software product.
