Aventail Introduces Full-Featured SSL VPN Appliance Tailored to Small to Mid-Sized Companies

The new Aventail EX-750 gives small to mid-sized businesses the reliable, secure access of Aventail´s proven SSL VPN solution at an affordable price

Seattle, WA — July 19, 2004 — Aventail Corporation, the leading SSL VPN product company, today introduced the Aventail EX-750, its latest SSL VPN appliance tailored to small to mid-size companies or departments with up to 50 concurrent users. The Aventail EX-750 is a full-featured, clientless SSL VPN appliance, providing anywhere access to a wide range of applications, while ensuring security, ease of use, and controlled costs. For the first time, it gives smaller enterprises the advantages of Aventail´s award-winning, mature technology and eight years of experience with Fortune 500 companies.

As with Aventail´s other SSL VPN appliances, the EX-750 is built on Aventail´s proven ASAPTM (Anywhere Secure Access Policy) Platform, which integrates industry leading application access, policy management, and End Point Control (EPC) functions. Aventail´s EPC functions include advanced cache cleaning and other data protection and client integrity capabilities. The Aventail EX-750 features an intuitive Web-based user interface for administrators to define and manage policy and perform essential management tasks, making it easier to manage and requiring less support from IT staff or vendors.

The Aventail EX-750 also provides access to a broad range of applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, Citrix, and others. In addition to the standard Web-based access, the Aventail EX-750 offers optional access methods via Aventail® OnDemand™, a small downloadable Java agent, for broad application access to client/server applications, and Aventail® Connect™, a Web-deployed Windows agent, for complete application access with additional network and desktop protection.
