Brocade plays trump card at CeBit with embedded switches for blade servers

Munich, 09 February, 2004 – For Brocade Communications Systems, Inc., the world’s leading provider of infrastructure solutions for Storage Area Networks (SANs), the focus at CeBIT 2005 is on the seamless integration of storage networks in blade servers.

In Hall 1, Stand 9a 2 Brocade is presenting embedded SAN switches for bladed servers from leading storage providers such as HP and IBM. Later in 2005 the company expects other OEM partners to integrate Brocade switches as the de-facto standard in their blade servers.

Seamless integration of SAN connectivity with blade servers reduces procurement and operating costs and simplifies the integration and management of key components. Embedded switches for blade servers also help organizations extend and protect investment in existing SAN infrastructure.
