Inikon equips SPAR Management AG with innovaphone solution

Voice-over-IP takes Swiss communication landscape by storm.

The recent partnership between the Swiss company Inikon AG and innovaphone AG, the IP telephony specialists based in Sindelfingen, has already proven to be successful in the Swiss market. SPAR Management AG has decided to redesign its corporate network using innovaphone’s IP telephony solution.
The telephone sales department and the IT department in the St. Gallen branch of SPAR Management have been equipped with voice-over-IP products. As of today voice and data traffic are carried by one common network. The existing, traditional PABX is still in use until end of contract and will then be replaced with a full IP PABX. “This brings state-of-the-art technology to the relevant departments of the wholesale company", reported Wolfgang Mähr, IT Department Chief at SPAR. Mähr continued: "smooth migration enables the old PABX to be kept with full protection of investment whilst simultaneously enabling a most modern telephony with all the additional applications."

The project has been looked after by Inikon AG, based in Egg on the outskirts of Zurich. Inikon AG has established a reputation as a competent planning and realisation partner for complex IT infrastructures.
