innovaphone launches a new VoIP gateway IP 6000 enabling modern IP telephony landscapes of any size:

Considerably smaller, clearly more powerful
The attributes of innovaphone’s new Voice over IP gateway can be described in a nutshell: half the size with considerably more power (www.innovaphone.com). The Voice over IP gateway IP 6000 completes innovaphone’s product family in the enterprise solutions segment for ISDN primary rate access lines. It connects IP telephony to the PSTN using up to two PRI lines. The gateways are the heart of the Sindelfingen based IP telephony specialists’ PBX – the innovaphone PBX. Should the VoIP gateway be used as the base for the innovaphone PBX, then it is possible to manage up to 1000 extensions with one single system. Meanwhile telephony configurations of any size can be realised by interconnecting several gateways.
Free scalability is surely an advantage of innovaphone’s VoIP gateways. In addition innovaphone’s IP telephony solutions offer maximum flexibility and protection of investment. Innovaphone is uncompromising in using only manufacturer independent standards. All solutions from the Sindelfingen based IP specialists are continuously based on standardised protocols H.323 and SIP (session initiation protocol), which support convergence. Furthermore, the VoIP gateway IP 6000 supports the signalling protocol Q.Sig and thus enables PBX trunking. In converges multi-vendor environments support of those standards is mandatory as enterprises reduce their dependence on the specific ITC suppliers. Furthermore all this provides the foundation for wide usage of trendsetting applications such as computer-telephony integration (CTI) and unified messaging, which directly combine the PC and the telephone in the workplace.
The VoIP gateway IP 6000 can be used in different configurations. Both PRI interfaces can be connected to the PSTN, thus providing up to 60 simultaneous connections. Loop through of traditional PBXs to the fixed network and realisation of redundant systems is possible using two PRI interfaces. The IP 6000 has another two PRI interfaces which provide ISDN access for further telephones. The PRI interfaces allow ISDN connections to be handed over even in the case of power failure.

Scalability in two directions
The IP 6000 is scalable in two directions. The smaller application version has one PRI connection. This version can be extended as necessary through activation of further licenses. Several gateways can be combined in case 60 channels do not suffice. Additional ISDN connections are centrally administered and used. The IP 6000 has an internal compact flash type I memory card slot, thus enabling internal memory expansion should it be necessary.

Flexibility: a second ethernet connection
The gateway IP 6000 has two separate ethernet connections. The connections can each be addressed separately and can provide routing functionality between two networks. In redundant network switches, the second ethernet interface can be used for the connection to the second switch. However it can also be used as a console port. Should the second port have a fixed IP address, then a computer can be directly administered using this connection.
