Juniper Networks marks 1,000th t-series milestone at KT

Leading South Korean Service Provider to Upgrade Core Network Infrastructure to Support Next-Generation IP Services

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 18, 2005 — Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR) today announced that the 1000th T-series core routing platform will be deployed at KT, South Korea’s leading telecommunications service provider. KT, which first deployed the T-series in 2002, has again chosen Juniper to scale its core network infrastructure optimally to address growing customer requirements for next-generation IP services, such as VoIP. The expanded core network will enable KT to offer emerging, new revenue-generating services, including video telephony, IPTV and WiBro, with assured levels of quality over a single IP network.

KT chose the T-series core routing platform for its high performance, reliability and multi-chassis scalability. Shipping since April 2002, the T-series is currently deployed in more than 100 service provider production networks worldwide. Featuring the highly stable and resilient JUNOS operating system, the T-series family includes the multi-chassis TX Matrix platform that scales to multi-terabit levels.
