City of ReykjavÃk boosts digitization with Evenex pilot

Copenhagen, November 17, 2011 - Today City of ReykjavÃk selected Evenex to perform an evaluation project including digital connectivity and workflow collaboration tools. The impact of the initiative is expected to add to a positive digitization trend in Iceland.

City of ReykjavÃk, the capital and Iceland's largest municipality, entered into an agreement initiating the new cooperation with Danish IT services company Evenex. The agreement was signed prior to the launch of a major conference on digital procurement in ReykjavÃk, Iceland on Friday November 18, 2011.

Evenex is to deliver its Purchase to Pay solution covering digital workflow management and intelligent transaction services for procurement and invoice handling.

City of ReykjavÃk focuses on improving procurement and the collaboration with their suppliers. The municipality is currently leading the field in Iceland and has already made strong progress with electronic invoices and payments. This development is powered up even more by today's agreement with Evenex.

Evenex's Purchase to Pay solution will facilitate efficient procurement processes and invoice handling as well as smooth digital interaction with suppliers. Improving process efficiency and transparency and making it easier to follow up on purchasing agreements in the pursuit of cost reductions are among the foremost objectives.

Purchase to Pay is a standard cloud solution provided as Software as a Service (SaaS). This implies that City of ReykjavÃk uses the solution as an Internet service. This gives the customers a major advantage, as the operations responsibility and the ongoing development of the solution are left with Evenex, allowing City of ReykjavÃk to focus on business processes.
