Latest Olympus VN-PC audio recorders: Enhanced features and easier to use than ever

Olympus has revamped its hugely successful range of entry-level voice recorders. The new VN-713PC, VN-712PC and VN-711PC models boast an enhanced design concept with a built-in stand to simplify operation while simultaneously adding features to deliver greater performance. The Calendar Search function with a dedicated button ensures recordings are located much more quickly (VN- 712PC and VN-713PC). A minimum internal memory of at least 2GB ensures recording times of an incredible 34 days - which can be increased in the top models thanks to the flexibility of a microSD Card slot. The integrated low-noise microphone sets a new benchmark in this class and an improved S/N (signal-tonoise) ratio ensures clear, pure sound. More powerful and easy to use than ever, the VN-713PC, VN-712PC and VN-711PC will be available from mid February 2012 for the recommended prices of DKK 799, DKK 699 and DKK 599, respectively.

Designed for ease of use
The Olympus VN-713PC, VN-712PC and VN-711PC hit the spot for all those wishing to have the capability to record messages, notes and conversations in good quality and without any hassle in the palm of their hands. Perfect for beginners and students, these attractively priced models are extremely simple to operate thanks to their improved design concept. Forget small, fiddly controls: These recorders make it easy thanks to large buttons, and the adjustable font size on the generous LCD means that all information is clearly seen on the screen.

Record and retrieve as you please
Up to 1000 files can be stored across five folders and each new Olympus model boasts exceptional recording time capabilities
- up to 34 days with 2GB internal memory or 67 days with the 4GB memory of the VN-713PC. The VN-712PC and VN-713PC additionally incorporate a microSD Card slot to extend capacity even further. To help find files quickly and easily, a new Calendar Search function has been added (VN-712 and VN-713). It lets users locate files simply via the recording date, and a dedicated file search button makes it mere child's play to invoke this feature. Furthermore, up to 99 index marks can be set in all models to flag important places in individual recordings.

Convenience meets performance
For top recording quality, all models feature a best-of-breed integrated low noise microphone, which delivers a high S/N ratio. All models can save files in WMA format, which is most efficient file type when it comes to data compression. The VN-712PC and VN-713PC can additionally save in mp3 format to enhance all-round flexibility. During playback, a clever Voice Filter (VN- 712PC and VN-713PC) improves the sound quality of human voice and variable playback speed control means users can make adjustments to suit their personal listening preferences.
The Scene Select function ensures optimal recordings through preset environmental settings that can be selected based upon surrounding conditions, and a low-cut filter can be invoked to further enhance recording quality. Voice activated automatic recording capabilities are also on board thanks to the VCVA and VoiceSync* modes (* VN-713PC). In addition, the top VN-713PC model features a Noise Cancel function to help cut out unwanted background sounds. A built-in stand lets users place these recorders upright on surfaces to optimally record conversations and lectures. To top it off, all new models boast incredible staying power with improved battery life that now extends up to 72
hours (LP recording). The extremely affordable Olympus VN-713PC, VN-712PC and VN-711PC are ideal for all-round use thanks to their effortless usability. They will become available from mid February 2012 at the respective retail prices of DKK 799, DKK 699 and DKK 599.
