Big screen for Gstaad´s Swiss Open
Eye Candy Media broadcasted live at a Big Screen the Swiss Open in Gstaad in order to allow access to all the tennis fans gathered at the area and set new standards in event marketing.
Eye Candy Media, one of the world´s fastest growing media company, was the official and exclusive outdoor broadcast partner of the most prestigious tennis tournament in Switzerland, the Allianz Swiss Open in Gstaad.
The Giant Led Screen above the entrance to Roy Emerson Area (Centre Court)was showing all the tournament action, allowing access to all the people gathered at the area.
The Allianz Suisse Open celebrated its 91th birthday in style. "Reinvent yourself", this was the slogan of the traditional event. The Allianz Suisse Open ranks today among the three largest sporting events in Switzerland.
In its beginnings the tournament took place on the courts of the Palace Hotel.
Then the event moved from the courts lying highly over the village down into the heart of Gstaad.
In 1937 the event was named "International Tennis Championships of Switzerland". Koebi Hermenjat, today´s Tournament Director, participated in the event at the tender age of 11 years as a ball boy, later took over the role of linesman and finally participated as a player in the 50s. Since 1968 he has been the Tournament Director. The Allianz Suisse Open has already welcomed many celebrities: Boris Becker, Michael Stich, Sergi Bruguera, Pat Rafter, Carlos Moya, Alex Corretja, Albert Costa and of course last but not least Roger Federer, who have all made their appearances at the tournament in Gstaad.
The Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad is known to its patrons for its friendly and exclusive atmosphere. The longstanding tradition preceding the present event is a guarantee that the numerous spectators and guests as well as the great tennis players feel at home in Gstaad.
The unique setting of this mountain resort in addition to the one-of-a-kind conditions for the tennis pros makes the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad a very special event for anyone present. Tradition and innovation are the keys to success for the organizers.
From the 7th until the 15th of July 2007, the world was turned up side down in the Roy Emerson Arena. The on-court battle ended with French Paul- Henri Mathieu winning the finals at a very impressive game.
