Holidays-Direct seeing a growing interest in city and beach holidays

Summer holidays are seeing a new trend in 2008 – city and beach holidays. Brits are more interested in city breaks in places like Barcelona and Nice than before, reports leading online travel agency Holidays-Direct.co.uk.

The main thing Brits want from their summer holidays is sunshine, but they also want activities and entertainment, which is why there is so much interest in city and beach holidays in Nice, Barcelona and other cities located on or near a beach.

With summer 2008 holiday bookings, leading online travel agency Holidays-Direct.co.uk (part of the Midlands Co-operative) has noticed increasing interest in city and beach holidays. City breaks in holiday destinations by the beach are receiving more bookings for summer 2008 than in previous years.
