Supreme material for ultrasound transducers
Ultrasound transducers demand piezoceramic materials with very high permittivity, high coupling coefficients, low Qm factor and relatively high Curie temperature. PCM55 provides it all and is therefore the supreme piezo material for the manufacturing of ultrasound transducers.
Pole piezo position
With a better coupling factor and higher Curie temperature than competitive piezoceramic materials, PCM55 is in a pole position on the transducer market, especially in the industries of medical devices, underwater acoustic systems and non destructive testing equipment (NDT).
Unique 75 mm x 75 mm plates
Noliac Ceramics have excellent experiences with the production of larger piezoceramic plates for transducers up to 75 mm x 75 mm, and the technology is continuously allowing larger and larger plates.
Further, we are able to fulfil most of customer special requirements regarding:
- Shape and size
- Electrode materials and electrode pattern
- Dimension and frequency tolerances
- Tolerances for dielectric and electromechanical properties
- Special tests
- "As Fired"
Application examples for piezo transducers:
• Medical devices
• Underwater acoustic systems
• Non destructive testing equipment (NDT)
• Emitter and receiver for sonar applications
• Flow & distance measurement
• Ultrasonic cleaning
• Ultrasonic welding
• Sonochemistry
