Jump into the saddle for the ultimate cycling challenge

As the nation’s love of cycling continues to grow, Breast Cancer Campaign is urging bike fans across the UK to take their hobby to the next level by taking part in its London to Paris cycle ride.

Whether it’s to help the environment, to boost your fitness levels or even to become the next Victoria Pendleton, people across the country are rapidly swapping their cars for their saddles. But now Breast Cancer Campaign is encouraging all two-wheel lovers to get pedalling to help the charity beat breast cancer.

Taking place over the August bank holiday (27 – 30 August 2010), Campaign’s London to Paris cycle ride is the perfect weekend getaway for anyone with a sense of adventure and a desire to get into shape. Your legs and stamina will be put to the test as you cycle nearly 200 miles in just three days, taking in the scenic views of the French countryside along the way. But most importantly, all your hard efforts will be helping to raise vital funds for breast cancer research.

Kelly Walton, Breast Cancer Campaign’s Events Executive, said “Sign up to a new challenge this summer and give yourself the perfect reason to get fit by taking part in our London to Paris cycle ride. Not only is it a fun way to raise money for the charity, but training for the challenge will also help to reduce your risk of breast cancer as you take part in regular exercise. So sign up now and help us get a step closer to beating breast cancer."

Participants are requested to register by April 2010. If you would like more information about the London to Paris cycle ride or any other of Campaign’s challenge events please contact the events team on 020 7749 3700, visit our website www.breastcancercampaign.org or e-mail the press contact.
