Silver Pail Chooses Oracle E-Business Suite to Lick Business Challenges

Ireland’s Largest Independent Ice Cream Manufacturer Selects Oracle ERP Solution Tailored for Small Business

* Silver Pail will implement an Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution from Oracle Accelerate Partner, Percipient, to improve efficiency of back office administration and production planning.

* Oracle Accelerate for Midsize Companies combines Oracle Applications and Oracle Business Accelerators with industry- and geography-specific deployment expertise to solve business problems in highly targeted and rapidly deployable packages. Oracle Business Accelerators are rapid implementation tools, templates and industry- and geography-specific leading practice process flows provided by Oracle to partners to dramatically reduce implementation time, complexity, cost and risk.

* Oracle PartnerNetwork member Percipient will implement the system leveraging Oracle Business Accelerators for the Oracle E-Business Suite Financials, Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales and Channel Management.

The Oracle solution will support Silver Pail’s growth strategy and provide a highly scalable ERP system able to expand with the company’s business operations.

* With a current staff of 50, Silver Pail sought an ERP solution with proven scalability to fit its mid-sized business operations and the project has obtained funding from Enterprise Ireland, as part of its growth fund.

* The Percipient Oracle solution was selected after rigorous review by business consultancy MorAnco .

Addressing Silver Pail’s Growth Objectives

* Silver Pail, located in Cork’s dairy farming heartland, is the largest ice cream manufacturer in Ireland specialising in premium ice cream, frozen yoghurts & ice cream cakes. The company processes 30 million litres of Irish milk annually and boasts 30 years experience in the manufacturing industry.

* Silver Pail also manufactures Irish cream liqueur.

* In 2008 the company embarked on a major review of its business operations with support from Enterprise Ireland under the Supply Chain Management and Growth Fund initiatives.

* The company engaged MorAnco Management Consultants to assist with the objective of improving productivity by 25 percent across all business functions and to lower costs and improve competitiveness through improved planning, processes and stock control.

* Percipient’s Oracle solution was selected on the strength of its database and supporting modules and the knowledge and experience Percipient has with the Oracle E-Business Suite.

* The Percipient solution embraces Silver Pail’s growth objectives and five year business plan, and the new system once implemented will be seamlessly integrated into the commercial life of the business.
