Just-Eat millionaire goes for online psychology

Jesper Buch, the leading co-founder behind the international online success Just-Eat, – a TechCrunch Top 100 company – is now introducing a new Internet service, Mentaline.com. Mentaline provides a platform where therapists and clients in coaching, therapy and psychology can meet online. The economic potential of the new service is as yet unexplored – and the market is huge.

Mentaline.com is a new business concept from the man who brought fast food to the Internet. Just-Eat entrepreneur and millionaire Jesper Buch is now introducing a website where consumers can meet psychologists, coaches and therapists. Once the right therapist is found, the consumer can get an online consultation and pay with his or her credit card. There are already several hundred professionals registered on Mentaline.com just waiting to offer their expertise, and more are signing up every day.

Same processes as Just-Eat
“Just-Eat was not only about bringing fast food to the consumer, but also about the processes between consumers and suppliers that we brought to the Internet and streamlined. The experiences I’ve had in the industry beg to be used wherever there is supply and demand – and we’ve found that in personal counselling, coaching and psychologist consultations," says Jesper Buch.

"In principle, it’s a very simple setup, but it obviously represents a long development process," says Jesper Buch. Among many other features, it is possible to have multiple users at the same time in connection with the coaching of a management group or couples therapy, where it is possible for the users to be in different physical locations.

Future platform for therapy, education and discussion

The same solution lies behind Mentaline.com’s masterclasses. Here you can book a seat at a lecture from one of the many exciting speakers and attend it at the site. Mentaline.com also includes a forum where anyone can discuss problems and challenges. The forum is visited by the professionals who contribute good advice – and the users can get an agreement for a paid session. The business model for Mentaline.com involves the charging of a 10% commission fee for each completed session, as well as a sign-up fee for the service subscribed. According to one coach already active on Mentaline.com:
“Having been in the personal and business development business for more than 20 years, this is the first time I’ve come across an organization which is there to bring together both the professional, in the coaching and therapy industry, and the client to conduct face-to-face sessions with highly qualified coaches and therapist. Brilliant!" – Martin Crous, Ph.D.

Excellent opportunity for therapists

Another therapist on Mentaline.com underlines that the booking process is very efficient and the payment facility makes life a lot easier for both clients and professionals:
“Mentaline.com offers therapists and coaches an excellent opportunity to market, advertise and organize their business in one place. The site includes clear explanations of disciplines and individual detailed profiles, including qualifications, and gives clients the information they need to choose an appropriate therapist or coach," says Kate Harris, Life Coach on Mentaline.com.

International concept

From the outset Mentaline.com is an international business model. Prior market research shows that no similar business model exists anywhere. Along with the British version, a Danish version has just been launched, and a range of language versions are now underway. Jesper Buch expects it to generate significant synergies, as consumers and providers can come together across national and linguistic boundaries:
“The technology is now so advanced that the Internet does not restrict a close meeting between two or more parties. On the contrary, we expect Mentaline.com – with all its benefits and opportunities – to be the future platform for receiving coaching, training and therapy," Jesper Buch says.
