Oracle Announces New Releases in Oracle Data Integration Product Line: Oracle GoldenGate 11g and Oracle Data Integrator 11g

New Products Deliver Better Performance, Improved Integration with Oracle Applications and Technologies, Plus More Support for Non-Oracle Databases and Applications

- Extending its leadership in the data integration industry, Oracle today announced Oracle GoldenGate 11g and Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g; new releases of the two products that form the foundation of Oracle’s data integration product line.

- The new products, part of the Oracle Fusion Middleware product family, deliver enterprise-class, real-time data integration by offering tighter integration with Oracle applications and technologies, support for additional heterogeneous systems, and best-in-class performance.

- Oracle GoldenGate 11g delivers real-time data integration and continuous availability for mission-critical systems through its unique low-impact, low-latency data acquisition, distribution and delivery capabilities.

- Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g delivers fast, efficient loading and transformation of timely data into a data warehouse environment through its high-performance Extract Load and Transform (E-LT) technology.

- To further ensure that information is accurate and consistent across complex systems, Oracle also announced Oracle Data Quality for Data Integrator 11g and Oracle Data Profiling 11g, which are also part of Oracle’s Data Integration product line.

- Oracle Data Integration is the industry’s most complete, open and fully-integrated, enterprise-class, real-time data integration solution. Customers can reduce IT costs and risk, while achieving a faster time to value for operational and analytical systems.


Tighter Integration, Expanded Support and Better Performance

- These new releases deliver tighter integration with Oracle Applications and Oracle technologies including:

- o Oracle GoldenGate 11g is certified for operational reporting solutions on Oracle Applications such as Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle PeopleSoft and Oracle JD Edwards.

- o Oracle GoldenGate 11g enables the adoption of Oracle’s next generation applications by introducing support for newer, additional data types.

- o Oracle GoldenGate 11g is now certified with Oracle Exadata Database Machine.

- o Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g provides integration with Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle Enterprise Manager, improving support for the entire lifecycle from developer productivity to manageability.

- o Oracle GoldenGate 11g also includes new native delivery to Oracle TimesTen databases.

- o Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g offers an integrated design environment with Oracle GoldenGate 11g’s log-based, real-time change data capture and delivery capabilities. The solution enables customers to deploy real-time data warehousing solutions without impacting source systems or batch window dependencies.

- Expanded support for heterogeneous systems and interoperability enhancements include:

- o Oracle GoldenGate 11g supports log-based capture from, and delivery to, IBM DB2; capture from JMS-based messaging systems and delivery to IBM DB2 for iSeries.

- o Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g provides additional support for online analytical processing (OLAP) systems including Oracle Essbase.

- o Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g also provides support for SAP applications and extended APIs that can be embedded directly within custom applications.

- o Oracle Data Quality for Data Integrator 11g and Oracle Data Profiling 11g provide enhanced international support with multi-lingual client and tuning facilities for single and double byte, as well as improved address verification across geographies.

- Best-in-class performance enhancements include:

- o Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g’s high performance E-LT capabilities enable faster and more efficient loading and transformation of real-time data into a data warehouse. Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition 11g runs on Oracle WebLogic Server, further improving scalability and performance.

- o Oracle GoldenGate 11g for the Oracle Database offers simplified recovery to significantly reduce the recovery window for long running transactions that experience interruption. It also provides improved transaction tracing to more easily identify bottlenecks and then tune the data integration environment for optimum performance.
