English Football Club on Danish Hands
Fodboldselskabet A/S, owned by 380 Danish shareholders and football enthusiasts, has become the majority shareholder of the London-based football club Croydon Athletic FC after acquiring 51% of the club shares on Wednesday.
Wednesday saw an excited Chairman of Fodboldselskabet A/S sign the final agreement between the involved parts, securing Fodboldselskabet A/S 51 percent of the shares in the London-based football club, Croydon Athletic FC.
Â“This is a dream come true. We have been working incredibly hard to realise our goal of co-owning and running Croydon Athletic FC," Chairman of Fodboldselskabet, Palle Katring-Rasmussen said.

Mazhar Majeed, CEO and former majority shareholder of Croydon Athletic, similarly warmly welcomed the new partnership with Fodboldselskabet A/S.

The first goal for Fodboldselskabet A/S is now to secure that Croydon Athletic FC will survive the current season in the Ryman League Premier Division. Further on, the aim is that the club is to proceed into the higher English leagues and divisions.

Croydon Athletic FC recently ascended into the seventh best league in England and is currently two points away from securing its survival.
Fodboldselskabet A/S is presently raising further funds for the project by issuing shares. Shares are available until December 2nd and can be acquired for DKK 1,000 or roughly Â£120 per share.
