New app for Android: Vivino Beta wine app identifies bottles of wine

Vivino has great news for Android owners:

We launched the first wine app with image recognition for Android – An amazing app to find facts, recommendations, food pairing, shops and prices on any wine anywhere. The app is called Vivino Beta and is available for free on Android Market. Still a beta as we lack some features and it will take a few weeks before we match most wines. Vivino uses state of the art image recognition to match wine labels directly from the app.

It’s real easy to use - you simply use your App to take photos of labels from wine bottles and send them to us. In return you’ll get information on the wine you would like to know about. You can easily share any wine on Facebook and be inspired by your friend’s bottles.

Here’s a video of it in action:

Please go ahead and try it out and you will never forget another wine you’ve tried!
