New profiling of Greenland

Greenland.com must show the world´s largest island as it is

With a plenty of new information and tools, it is now much easier for tourists to choose the seasons and Experiences when planning a trip to Greenland. An experience-barometer helps, for example, to set how extreme the trip should be. So whether you prefer hiking with a guide, kayaking among icebergs or mountain climbing, you will find options on Greenland´s largest Internet site.

Since time immemorial, all who have gone north to Greenland have had an urge to discover and explore. This includes the first Inuits and later Europeans who settled there, great explorers like Robert Peary and Knud Rasmussen, and the same applies to today´s tourists.

That is why Greenland Tourism Council´s new branding strategy includes an invitation to all to become pioneers. With only 57,000 residents and roughly the same number of annual tourists spread over an area the size of Western Europe, it is easy for visitors in Greenland to believe they are the first to look upon the views from one of Greenland´s many untouched locations - and maybe they are.

Many new lovely photos and films show Greenland as a mix of old and new and a modern society in rapid development with a standpoint in strong traditions. Here one can easily see a girl in national costume check Facebook on her iPhone, while her mother in new denim jeans strips a seal that the father, who is an IT consultant, has shot while sailing at the weekend.

If you dream about being a pioneer, then you can immediately start exploring on greenland.com
