Oracle Continues Investment in Teacher Training in Europe
Oracle Academy Instructors’ Institute Helps 105 Teachers Prepare Students for Successful IT Careers in Europe

- Today, the Oracle Academy welcomed teachers from across Europe to the Oracle Academy Instructors’ Institute in Vienna.
- The training event takes place from June 27 to July 1 and includes 105 teachers from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
- The Oracle Academy Instructors’ Institute is an intensive professional development program that prepares faculty to teach technology and business curriculum. The curriculum focuses on database design and SQL programming skills.
- Participating faculty complete 40 hours of online coursework before attending an in-class training event.
- For the in-class training, teachers work face-to-face with Oracle Academy instructors to prepare to teach the Oracle Academy curriculum to their students, and must complete a class project and pass a final exam.
- To date, over 612,000 students from more than 2,900 educational institutions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) benefit from their participation in the Oracle Academy.
The Oracle Academy helps 1.5 million students in 95 countries gain industry-relevant skills prior to entering the workplace.
