Tilgin releases Gigabit Home Gateway

Stockholm, Sweden, August 8, 2011: Tilgin, a leading provider of solutions for multiplay and next-generation broadband access, announces a family of full Gigabit Home Gateways.

Designed for next-generation access networks, Tilgin’s HG2300 Gigabit Ethernet Home Gateways offer the advanced future-proof functionality needed for services and applications in the home. At the same time, they allow delivery of current services at the lowest possible cost.

The HG2300 comes in several versions that allow operators to address different end-user segments in a cost-effective way. All versions are based on the new Tilgin Simba Gigabit platform and are powered by Tilgin´s HGA Software. And they’re all part of a complete ecosystem that includes integration, delivery, logistics, support and remote management.

Tilgin´s Home Gateways are designed for, and well proven in virtually any network scenario, supporting a wide range of network setups and almost all current or planned services. Powered by a multi-threading CPU, they deliver the highest possible quality for critical services and functions. Full service routing allows operators to use a variety of network setups while the fully IMS compliant voice solution support an extensive number of features and services for VoIP.

The HG2300 is fully TR-069-compliant and completely integrated with the Tilgin Remote Management Solution, VCM. It is also interoperability tested with other major ACS vendors to ensure seamless integration. With its zero-touch auto configuration, operators can conveniently define and manage all services and network settings from a single support center.

The designer gateway casing is easy to place and handle and comes with a customizable display that, together with operator branding of software and logistics, allows an operator to move their brand into their customers’ homes.
The new home gateway is designed in accordance with Tilgin´s program for low environmental impact during the lifecycle. (It supports today’s demanding requirements such as EUP and CoC.)
