Allview launched AllDro Box 2 Android Multimedia Center

Allview launched AllDro Box 2, a small multimedia device that runs on the television screen the Internet content, the files saved on a hard drive or on a SD memory card, Android applications and games all besides the television programmes, movies and series that can be played in FullHD format.

"AllDro Box 2 stands out from the first multimedia box developed by the company, through a new more powerful processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz and a diverse connectivity. It also supports streaming media in FullHD format", said Silvia Soare, Allview´s Marketing Manager.

The device can connect to the internet through a network cable or wirelessly. Via Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection AllDro Box 2 can be connected to all the PC systems available. That enables to view and run directly on the TV all the multimedia files from that network.

Due to the native media player, the AllDro Box 2 can play audio and video files. It also allows streaming radio or television which can run while using other applications. All TV programms can be viewed in traditional or in FullHD (1080p) format at no charge.

The device connects to almost any modern television set through the HDMI port and it integrates the most used ports. These include 4 USB ports, a HDMI port, audio output (AV-out) and video out (YPbPr) jacks , a LAN(RJ45), a microSD card slot and an eSATA connector. Moreover the device plays in FullHD format the most popular video files such as MKV - 60fps and up to 42mbps, MPEG4 AVI (DivX 3.11, 4, 5, 6, Xvid, H264, WMV) - up to 60 fps and 19 Mbps; MPEG2-TS to 60 fps and 50 mbps, FLV to 60 fps and 10 mbps. In terms of audio formats, the supported files are: MP3, WMA, FLAC, AAC, OGG and WAV.

The AllDro Box 2 opens any web addresse via the integrated browser. Whether news sites, social networks like Facebook and Twitter, YouTube videos and email accounts all can be accessed from the TV screen. Websites and email applications are optimized to be displayed on a large television screen.

Last but not least, the AllDro Box 2 runs Android 2.2 and has various preinstalled applications. By accessing the Android application store, it can be customized with hundreds of interactive applications and can even become a game console. Nonetheless the smart media player is not just about entertainment functions, but can be easily used in bussines activities too. Besides the e-mail and office applications, the AllDro Box can access „file transfer protocol"(FTP) sites and "remote desktop" protocols. .
