Danish PJ Diesel Engineering is awarded Known Shipper status within the European Union

EU Regulation No. 300/2008, better known as the “Known Shipper Regulation" was introduced on 29th of April 2013. The Regulation covers all EU countries and introduces mandatory screening of air cargo.

Only a few locations have been approved as a “Know Shipper" by the Danish Transportation Authorities so far. This special status grants the shipper special exemption status for the screening of airfreight. In order to be granted this status the applicant must demonstrate among other things, a sufficient level of security together with mandatory in-house security training.

“We are very proud to be awarded this special status. It was important to us that our response time regarding dispatch of critical components we not affected by these new regulations. This also includes the customers who has an exchange stock at our facility" states CEO Anne-Mette Elsborg.

PJ Diesel Engineering hopes with this approval to strengthen an already good exchange concept of key components for larger diesel engines. PJ Diesel Engineering was founded in 1978 and has grown to become one of Northern Europe’s premier suppliers within the repair and recondition segment for the global merchant fleet.
