Yellow Pages operator changes its name to Hibu
Yell Group, the international operator of Yellow Pages and Yellow Book directories, goes for a young and appealing make-over changing its name to “Hibu". The international brand rollout team at Brand On carried out a classic global re-branding programme, helping Hibu to succeed.
In 2012 the Yell Group changed its name to “Hibu" as part of a branding initiative designed to re-position the group for all its consumer-facing activities.
Built around the positioning “connecting communities" and designed for “the people who make communities thrive" by WPP agency, Landor, the new identity aims to project a youthful and approachable image, using bold and contemporary lower case typography with soft edges and brightly coloured accents.
Brand On was commissioned by Hibu to create signage and graphic standards for application on all sites in the Hibu global property network.
Having developed these standards, Brand On worked in collaboration with each regional property team to gather data on existing signage and prepare “brand books" for each site defining current and future signage, thus providing a sound basis for a manufacturing and shipping programme in line with the client’s programme and budgetary requirements.
